HICPAC Update: Sign New National Nurses United Joint Consensus Statement
HICPAC must include representation from healthcare workers, patient and disability advocates.
National Nurses United has spearheaded a new joint consensus statement to HICPAC. Join us in signing the statement as individuals and through your organizations.
The statement was drafted by a broad group of public and occupational health experts. It lays out elements that HICPAC should adopt when updating the draft in order to protect health care workers and patients. Recall that in January 2024 the CDC announced they would be sending HICPAC’s draft for further work on specific questions. See that statement here. We need to keep up the pressure to make sure that infection control guidance protects workers and patients — rather than corporate profit margins.
The deadline is Tomorrow, Friday, April 12th, 2024. Individual and Organizational Endorsements are welcome
Please use this form to submit your endorsement.
Please share this letter widely within your organizations and networks. Endorsements from the US and internationally are both welcome as we know CDC guidance has global implications for health care workers and patients.
As always, thank you for your work and support for strong protections for health care workers and patients.
